The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Chevrolet, have re-signed forward Tino Nunez for his fourth season with the club.

Nunez, from Long Beach, Calif., was the Fury’s leading scorer in the team’s inaugural season (22 goals in 11 games) and has scored 46 goals in 37 games over the previous three seasons in Ontario. Last season, he had 12 goals on 37 shots.

“Since our first game, Tino has been one of the most popular players among our fans for his hard work in front of the goal and his highlight-reel goals,” said Fury President and coach Bernie Lilavois. “His ability to get into the hard areas and take abuse is second to none in our game and his experience at all levels of soccer is invaluable.”

The graduate of Long Beach Millikan High School, he has won championships in high school, college (UC Santa Barbara) and the professional levels (with Real Salt Lake of Major League Soccer). Prior to joining the Fury, Nunez had played with the Baltimore Blast in the MISL.

Besides playing for the Fury, Nunez serves as the head coach of the Millikan High girls soccer team and has appeared with the United States National Beach Soccer team and played for the United States in the MASL International Challenge games this past summer.
