Ontario, California (December 23, 2018) - The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Auto Center, got off to a quick lead Sunday night at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Unfortunately for the Fury, it didn’t last long.

The Tacoma Stars scored the next four goals, including two in 49 seconds in the second quarter, as the Stars defeated the Fury 6-3 Sunday night.

Ontario opened the scoring 1:12 into the game as the Stars were down a man for having too many players on the field. Juan Carlos Gonzalez slammed a pass from Jeff Hughes past Danny Waltman for the 1-0 lead.

But the Stars’ player-coach, Nick Perera drew Tacoma even about nine minutes later, as he blasted a shot past Chris Toth to tie it at 1 through a quarter. The Stars took the lead thanks to a bit of help from the Fury.

Tacoma’s Jamael Cox raced down the right side of the field and looked to send a crossing pass toward Perera. But retreating defender Andy Reyes couldn’t stop in time, knocking the ball into his own net for a 2-1 lead.Ramos and Perera hooked up again for Tacoma’s third goal, this time with Ramos getting the goal. Then Adam West made it 4-1 49 seconds later.
