The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Chevrolet, have signed free agent forward Leonardo de Oliveira for the 2016-17 Major Arena Soccer League season.

De Oliveira played the 2015-16 season with the Eastern Conference's Detroit Waza Flo, where he led the team in goals (13), assists (20) and points (33).

"Leonardo has a great scoring touch that we can use in front to take some of the pressure off of some of our other attacking players,” said Fury president and coach Bernie Lilavois. “We are happy that he came to California to continue his career.”

De Oliveira scored two game-winning goals for the Waza Flo last season. He became a free agent when the team announced it would be taking the 2016-17 season off to help restructure and grow the game in the greater Detroit area.

Ontario will open the 2016-17 regular season beginning at home at [ ]3:05 p.m. Oct. 30 against Atletico Baja.

Season tickets for the 2016-17 are on sale now through the Ontario Fury’s office at 909-457-0252. Season ticket holders enjoy the same seat for all 11 home games, free parking at Citizens Business Bank Arena, merchandise discounts and invitations to exclusive events.
