The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Chevrolet, have re-signed midfielder Andy Reyes for the 2016-17 Major Arena Soccer League season.

Reyes, originally from the San Diego area, joined the Fury in the 2015-16 season, playing in 11 games. He scored four goals and had three assists. He also played for the United States during three of the MASL International Challenge games, scoring three goals, twice against Brazil and once against Mexico in Sonora.

“Andy has a bright future, and his results in the international challenge games shows what his potential is,” said Fury coach and president Bernie Lilavois. “He’s a hard worker and will be able to grow into a greater role on our team.”

Reyes played at Taft College with teammate Juan Carlos Gonzalez, then moved to Cal State San Bernardino, where he appeared in 28 career games.

Ontario will open the 2016-17 season with a preseason game at 3:05 p.m. Oct. 23 at Citizens Business Bank Arena, with the regular season beginning at home at 3:05 p.m. Oct. 30 against Atletico Baja.
