ONTARIO FURY HOST CALIFORNIA EXPRESS THIS SUNDAY DECEMBER 22nd
ONTARIO, California (December 21, 2019) – The Ontario Fury (1-2) fresh off a big 10-7 win over the Tacoma Stars on Friday will host the Turlock Cal Express (3-2) on Sunday December 22, 2019 at Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA. Game time is set for 3:05pm. Doors Open at 2pm. This will be the first of six meetings between the two clubs.
The newly revamped Express are coming to town after a tough 6-5 home loss last night to the San Diego Sockers and sit near the top of the Major Arena Soccer League Western Conference Standings. Their 3 wins so far this season already equal the total they had all last season. With a new Head Coach, Edgar Martinez, several new players, new logo, new color scheme and new black home turf, this year the Express are not the same team as in previous years. Last year the teams played 6 times with the Fury winning the series 5-1.
Sunday’s game will feature Former United States Men’s National Soccer Team Star Nick Rimando as honorary captain and kicking out the ceremonial first ball. Rimando also holds Major League Soccer records for career shutouts, wins, saves and appearances. He is a local standout from Montclair High School and UCLA and proceeds from a special ticket fundraiser for this game will be donated to Montclair High School programs.
Sunday’s game will also be the Fury Annual Teddy Bear Toss Night. Fans are encouraged to bring new stuffed animals and after the first Fury goal, toss them onto the field. They will be collected and donated to several local charities in need during the holidays.
Tickets are available on Ticketmaster.com or by calling the Fury Offices at 909.457.0252.
