Fury Score Early and Often in Big Win

(ONTARIO, California) - The Ontario Fury defeated the Dallas Sidekicks 13-4 Friday night at Toyota Arena. The Fury scored early and often as they never trailed in the game. 

Fury midfielders Juan Carlos Gonzalez and Joseph Cairel scored within 30 seconds of each other in the first 1st quarter to give the Fury a 2-0 lead. Then with just under two minutes left in the first quarter, Fury Forward Franck Tayou scored to give the hosts a 3-0 lead after one quarter of play.

The Fury came out firing on all cylinders again in the second quarter with five goals. Fury Defender Christian Alvarado, back-to-back goals from Tayou, Fury Midfielder Justin Stinson and Cairel's second of the game made it 8-0 at the halftime break. 

 

Dallas started off the scoring in second half on a power play goal after Fury Defender Uzi Tayou was called for holding and Dallas got on the board 8-1. Gonzalez scored his second of the game and Fury Midfielder Jiho Lee scored his first goal of the season to make it 10-1 after three quarters of play.

The teams traded goals back and forth in a wild fourth quarter. Early in the quarter, Fury Defender Maicon De Abreu scored to extend the lead 11-1. Dallas then got their second goal of the night from Freddy Moojen to make it 11-2. Fury Midfielder Marcus Jordan scored to go up 12-2. Then it was Moojen again with his second goal of the night to cut the lead to 12-3. Uzi Tayou scored for a 13-3 lead. And Dallas' Luiz Felipe Xavier De Andrade scored one last goal for the Sidekicks and the game to finish at 13-4.
