The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Chevrolet, got four goals from Leonardo de Oliveira and three goals apiece from Tino Nunez and Adrien Perez as they defeated the Turlock Express in front of 2,798 fans at Citizens Business Bank Arena on Wednesday night.

Ontario didn’t open the scoring until past the midway point of the first quarter, as de Oliveira got the first of his four on a pass from Maicon de Abreu 9:11 into the first quarter. From there, it was all Fury. Nunez got the first of his three just 1:21 after de Oliveira, converting a pass from Chico Francisco Cordeiro.

The Fury (5-4) led 6-1 at the half, as Nunez was the first to complete his hat trick, scoring twice in the second quarter, on assists from Perez and de Abreu. Perez was the second to complete his hat trick, scoring back to back goals between the third and fourth quarters, one of them an unassisted goal as he took his own rebound off the boards and put it in the net. De Oliveira finished his off on the power play, as deked backup goaltender Martin Sanchez on a penalty shootout and slotted the shot inside the far post.

In all, Ontario fired 37 shots on the Turlock goal, with only five being blocked. Fury goaltender Jose Miranda faced 17 shots, making 13 saves.
