The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Chevrolet, got two goals apiece from Juan Carlos Gonzalez, Mauricio Salles and Nick Perera as they defeated the Turlock Express 9-6 in a preseason game at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

Ontario opened a 6-1 lead at halftime, then held on as the Express mounted a second half rally. Perera scored the eventual game-winner early in the second half, putting home a shot off a pass from Israel Sesay, who had a goal and two assists in the game.

Goaltender Joey Kapinos had six saves in the game, as the Fury limited Turlock’s chances in the first half. Anibal Echeverria had two goals and two assists to lead the Express attack. A full box score from the game can be found here: http://www.ontariofury.com/stats#/192/game/95360

The Fury open the Major Arena Soccer League season next Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. against Atletico Baja at Citizens Business Bank Arena. There will be a special post-game trick-or-treat on the field event for children following the game, and the first 500 children will receive a bag courtesy of Grocery Outlet of Ontario. Grocery Outlet is also offering two free vouchers to the game for anyone who purchases a bag of candy in the store.

Season and group ticket packages for the 2016-17 season are still available through the Ontario Fury’s offices. Season ticket holders receive the same seat for all 10 home games, free parking, merchandise discounts and invitations to special events. Groups of 10 or more can enjoy special perks, including watching warmups from the bench, playing on the field at halftime and more.
